Jack Mountain Educational Philosophy

We shot a video in our Survival Basics series with Tim Smith from the Jack Mountain Bushcraft school yesterday. We discussed educational philosophy that he teaches at his school and why it is important.

We don’t directly teach that concept here at the Woodsman School, but we teach in a way, or try to, so that the end result is the same, you learn by doing. Having students try these things for themselves, with guidance from experience, allows them to figure out what works for them and what doesn’t. Again, you just can’t get that from a book or a video.

If you are interested in finding out more about Tim’s philosophy and what he teaches about it, you can find it here http://www.jackmtn.com/edphilosophy.html
